Meyco
started doing business back in 1898 as Fred Meyer Awning
& Flags. Meyco developed the first safety cover
in 1957 and planted the seed for the incredible safety

office issue a patent for the original mesh Safety Pool
Cover design. in 1962, an additional patent was issued
for its unique anchoring system. In 1966, a municipal
pool in New Jersey ordered a cover that was approximately
15,000 square feet, more than five times the square
footage of Meyco's existing facility at the time!
