This product is effective in controlling and killing a broad range of algae, This product was made especially to control growth of algae in all types of swimming pools. Copper Algaecide kills algae cells by stopping photosynthesis as it kills existing algae and prevents any further algae from contaminating your pool.
Copper Algaecide is especially effective against Chara(Stone wart), Spirogyra, Cladophora, Vaucheria Ulothrix, Microcystis, Oscillatoria, Mustard Algae and Black Algae. The triethanolamine in this product prevents the precipitation of the copper with the carbonates or bicarbonates in the water.
This product comes concentrated. Dilute with at least 9 parts of water before applying. Pour the required amount of this product into a plastic watering can, fill with water and sprinkle around edge of your pool. Apply the initial treatment to a freshly filled pool or at first visible signs of algae growth.
