ZeoSand® is a natural filter media! ZeoSand® filters better than sand because its surface area is about 100 times greater. Its molecular surface structure can trap small dirt particles in the nooks and crannies of its surface. Thus, only fifty pounds of ZeoSand® does the same work, and more, than one hundred pounds of sand would do. ZeoSand® filters down to 3-5 microns vs. sand at 20-40 microns.
