Rx Clear® Luster Media For Sand Filters (Various Types)

Upgrade your sand filter with Rx Clear® Luster Black Filter Media, a lightweight, charcoal-coated solution for optimal filtration and enhanced water clarity. Acting like activated charcoal, this media absorbs odors and chlorine smells, so your pool stays fresh all season. It is engineered from non-toxic polyethylene and capable of filtering particles down to 3–5 microns, outperforming traditional sand in efficiency and ease of use. With fewer backwashes needed and machine washability at the end of each season, it offers years of low-maintenance performance and lasts up to 5 years, or three times longer than standard sand.

This product recommends a pea gravel base. Layer pea gravel above the laterals before adding media.

Note: Clarifiers should not be used with this product.

Instructions for Use:

1. Open your filter.
2. Remove all sand/media from the tank and clean thoroughly.
3. Fill with Rx Clear® Luster Black (1 box equals 50 lbs of sand).
4. Close the filter.
5. Backwash for 30 seconds.
6. Start filtering.
