Rx Clear® Luster Media For Sand Filters (Various Types)

Enjoy a crystal-clear pool without the hassle of heavy sand using Rx Clear® Luster Filter Media. Made from 100% polyethylene, this lightweight alternative is non-toxic, easy to handle, and filters particles down to 3–5 microns, far finer than traditional sand. With fewer backwashes needed and the ability to machine wash at season’s end, you’ll cut down on maintenance while extending the life of your filter. Each box replaces 50 lbs of sand and lasts up to 5 years, outpacing typical sand by 3 full seasons.

A pea gravel base is recommended for this product. Layer pea gravel above the laterals before adding the filter media.

Note: Clarifiers should not be used with this product.

Instructions for Use:

1. Open your filter.
2. Remove existing sand/media and clean the tank thoroughly.
3. Fill with Rx Clear® Luster (1 box equals 50 lbs of sand).
4. Close the filter.
5. Backwash for 30 seconds.
6. Begin filtering.
