Rx Clear® Luster Media For Sand Filters (Various Types)

Get rid of your heavy sand with our light weight economically friendly Rx Clear Luster Filter Media. Our Blue Media is made of antimicrobial technology, to reduce any bacteria and microorganism growth in your pool. Made with absorption and optimal filtering in mind, our Luster Filter Media can filter down to 3-5 microns while the traditional sand filter only filters down to 20 microns. With less maintenance your filter will require less backwash, and when your Filter Media can be machine-washed at the end of each season. Cut your costs for your prescription for a clear pool as you replace this media every 5 years, lasting 3 years longer than your average sand!

A pea gravel base is recommended with the use of this product. Just layer pea gravel above laterals to cover them.

Note: Clarifiers should not be used with this product.

Instructions for Use:

1. Open your filter
2. Empty any media/sand from the tank and clean the tank thoroughly
3. Fill the filter with Rx Clear Luster. 1 box of Luster equals 50 lbs of sand
4. Close your filter
5. Do not backwash for 90 days, or until PSI goes over 25
6. Start filtering
