Jack's Magic Pool Stain Solution #1 - 2 lbs

The Iron, Cobalt and Spot Etching Stuff is a non-acidic stain solution for removing iron, cobalt and spot-etching stains from all types of pool surfaces without draining the pool. The Iron, Cobalt and Spot Etching Stuff will normally remove these stains easily and effectively within 48 hours, with minimal re-balancing of other pool chemical products.

Note: The use of a sequestrant is required to filter out the stain

Is it safe to swim after adding Stain Solution #1?

Do not swim while doing this treatment. Once added to the pool, swimming will be safe again after the stains have been removed and the pool water chemistry has returned to normal.

How long does the treatment take?

The treatment should have run its course within 48 hours, however, this is based on proper water chemistry. Make sure you have the proper pool chemistry before administering the treatment.

My stain did not disappear, it turned black!

This simply means the stains are copper instead of iron. The Copper & Scale Stuff (Item # 3011478) will accommodate your needs.

What happens if my pet gets into the pool during treatment?

There are no adverse effects that would harm your pet during treatment. Swimming is not advised during treatment because the treatment lowers your pool's chlorine levels below the recommended level for swimming.

Should I just wait for the chlorine to come down on its own?

This is not recommended. Without the use of After Shock Chlorine Remover, you may create an algae problem due to the chlorine demand. By using After Shock you are able to begin treatment the same day as you lower your chlorine, solving that potential problem.
