ZeoSand® is a natural filter media! ZeoSand® filters better than sand because its surface is about 100 times greater than sand-with its molecular surface structure it can trap small dirt particles in the nooks and crannies of its surface. Thus, only fifty pounds of ZeoSand® does the same work and more of what one hundred pounds of sand would do. ZeoSand® filters down to 3-5 microns vs. sand at 20-40 microns.
